Mission

In order to counteract the challenges of life post-institution, Houso Aygi, was established under the umbrella of YWCF. Officially inaugurated on 18 October 2005, it already provides 16 carefully selected young women between the ages of 17 and 22 with a safe, warm and caring environment.
The girls benefit from this focused short-term solution aimed at providing them with the long-term gains they will need to derive in the real world. Houso Aygi, and its team of specialists, takes every necessary step to prepare them for real life-from teaching domestic skills to securing professional experience, and from instilling self-confidence to sourcing accommodation upon graduating Houso Aygi.
Houso Aygi offers the following:

  • promotes social rehabilitation
  • provides opportunities for ethical, spiritual and moral education and expression
  • assists the residents in getting higher education and/or vocational training
  • assists the residents in gaining practical skills for the professional world
  • encourages entrepreneurship and provide economic opportunities for sufficient income generation
  • assists the residents in finding a job and proper housing upon leaving Houso Aygi.
